Obama Condoms
Well, they’ve finally done it… Obama condoms for sale. What will they think of next? And yes, they even have a slogan attached to them…use with good judgment. Wonderful. At least they’re trying to be responsible about this.
Actually, there may be some good to this, though personally, I think it’s a publicity stunt, but…let’s be honest. Teen pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases in the minorities is rampant. Maybe with a role model like Obama and a product like this, we might actually see a decline in this problem. I don’t know, but it’s at least a possibility.
One thing is for certain…Obama IS going to be a role model to a lot of African Americans. They are going to look up to him for many things. My wife, who is a school teacher in an urban school, has told me that the attitudes of many of her children have improved. They have more confidence now. They feel as if they now have a chance.
While I want to keep politics out of this, I have to say that maybe now that we’ve finally had an African American president, we can finally ease the racial tensions in our country. Maybe that’s wishful thinking. I don’t know. But I can tell you this much, things can’t keep going on the way they’ve been. Something has to give. And I have found from my experience…that something usually gives in the wrong direction and that’s when all hell breaks loose.
So if you ARE reading this and you ARE an African American teen, go get one of these Obama condoms if you’re planning on having sexual relations. We have too many unwanted pregnancies as it is. We don’t need any more of them.
